I my oppinion the PSP is an expensive memory stick holder, i've got one and all it has done is lay next to my other game consoles gathering dust, waste of money, if he has got a DS There is no point, its so much better than a PSP. Buy him an XBOX 360 If you can afford it, they are the dogs dangleys, amazing, hahaha! Toodle pip!

Personally,I think the psp is an amazing piece of kit.With the right software and mem capacity it can store movies,music and you can surf t'internet with it...oh and it plays games too !

my honest opinion is the psp isn't very good at all, i had mine since launch and i have hardly played it. I havent been impressed by any new games either. If i where you i'd stick with the ds, i personally love mine or by a nintendo wii instead.

I'm getting one for xmas I am really looking forward to it. I have waited for the price to fall.

Now you can get games cheap to like 2 for �30 HMV in store �25 online - but long delivery times.

GTA - grand theft auto is a great game but maybe not suitable depending on the age of your son, he cannot be that young if your getting him a psp but then again I see 5yr olds with mobiles these days lol

I had one but got rid of it after a few months, there isn't anything wrong with it as such but I found with the odd execption that the games were rather dull when compared to whats on offer on the DS.
