Can anyone help...? Recently our PS2 hasn't been loading games, sometimes we have to reset the console 15-20 times before it registers there is a cd in the drive. Its driving us crazy and wondered if there's anything we can do. A clean perhaps? thanks in advance x

Apparently the Lasers in the PS2 aren't the best, and through time and regular play, they will start to go faulty, but the fact that it still plays the games at all is a good sign, so get yourself a regular CD lens cleaner from any hardware or electrical store, and hopefully that should do the trick. If that doesn't work, you should have a little independant games store in your area who should be able to replace the laser for 20-30 quid. Good luck :O)
Sounds crazy as well, but if you put the disk in and close the drive, then turn the ps2 upside down and turn it on,it may be load the game fine.
We had a ps2 and the laser was playing up and this sorted it,,,and old ps1 trick !
