Can somone explain to me what this thing in the ps2 is, called an 'Emotion engine' I never understood it.

The way I understand it, the emotion engine is something to do with 'fuzzy logic' whereby it breaks the tradition of computers simply thinking in 'yes' and 'no' logic. This adds realism to artificial intelligence in non-computer playing charachters, whereby they can make more complex and intelligent decisions dependent on how you are playing the game.
The emotion engine was simply the term coined to describe the technology the PS2 had built in for general and graphics processing.

the "emotion engine" has absolutely nothing to do with fuzzy logic or arificial intelligence.
That processor is not better than any other for fuzzy logic.
It is only a name, created to impress the media and consumers, and give the impression it is providing something new.
( Apparently, it worked )
