What sort of cable do I need to connect the Xbox360 to a wireless laptop- we have a router to connect the laptop to the internet?

You could buy a wireless router for the 360 or use your supplied ethernet lead back to the router or PC operating "wirelessly" and enable connection sharing.

all you need to do is buy a xbox network cable you can buy them from game for like 15 pound
