xbox 360 from america
hi can anyone tell me if i bought a 360 from a america can i play it over here in the uk?. what would i need to look for etc etc. any help would be great thanks as ive just been on american ebay and they are going for about �150 or less.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I think you might need a transformer to convert the power, you might need to buy either US games or region free games but not UK games due to it being a US console, you might need to buy a tv cable as the US one wouldnt work due to different tv system, im 100% sure about the transformer and the games but the tv side im nt so sure,
Just to clarify the previous answer,
Xbox 360s are region coded that means UK games won't work in a US machine and vice versa.
US machines work on 110V mains, UK ones use 240V so you will need to change the power supply unit.
US machines output their tv signals at 525 line NTSC, so to use one on a UK tv ( 625 line PAL) you will need to check the tv will display the signal otherwise you will only see a rolling monochrome picture. Alternatively you could use a PC monitor and VGA cable.
Personally I wouldn't bother for all that hassle, get a secondhand one from Game then at least if it goes wrong you have some come back.
