Half life Orange Box

Is this any good? Is team fortress 2 any good? Worth the extra money?

If you don't have Half Life 2 or the two Episodes already, then The Orange Box is an essential buy in my opinion. If you've got Half Life 2, then just download Team Fortress 2 separately from Steam and save some cash.

TF2 is brilliant, silly and fun multiplayer action - it takes a little while to get used to and some of the multiplayer servers can be a little snobby about new players, but most are very welcoming.

Portal, the other game in the pack, is also worth a punt. It's innovative and really makes you think outside of the box.

If you are going to buy it, download through Steam if you have a credit card as it's cheaper than anywhere you'll find it in the shops. At the moment, TF2 is $20 on Steam and the Orange Boxis $50, so that's �10 and �25 respectively - absolute bargains both of them

thanks a lot. I don't have hl2, I did own it once and played a bit of it but was into other stuff at the time, you know how it is. I did play team fortress with HL1, it was the best gaming experience I ever had. Casually standing as an engineer in the blue base, when I was in fact a red spy, with some dude just standing in front of me, staring me right in the eyes, looking me up and down. Do I knife him? Do I just stand casually? lol.

Team Fortress 2 is just as much as the original Team Fortress with the benefit of looking a load prettier.

If you do buy the game, there's a couple of servers I help to run which are always welcoming. Check out www.osfhome.com and look at the server info tab on the left hand side to find the IP addresses or just stick them into the console on the main menu
