External Hard Drive for what?

Just worked out how to add a 500 gb external hard drive to my Ps3, only to find out I cant use it for game storage. What type of downloadable stuff can I get and from where? What are you lot doing with your pS3's.?

Watching Blu Ray films, I have a few games, but the ones I have are PS3 only and they've not been played much since getting it

I use my 360 for gaming as it's much better, the games are better, the online side of things is better and the console interface is better.
