Ipod Touch Question

Hi, just got this ipod touch, can someone please tell me how i can get a film (from a dvd) onto my Ipod touch. Seems to me i can only get it on if i buy it again on itunes but im sure there must be a way.

Any time when I want to put DVD and video to iPod ,I use Cucusoft DVD to iPod touch Video Converter ,at present I haven’t meet any problem ,when I am using this software maybe you can have a try .
