Beatles Rock Band

Hi all. Does anyone know if you need any real gaming experience and/or musical knowledge to play Rock Band. I'm interested in buying it, but have never played any rock band stuff before, and cant play any instruments either. Is it hard as hell or can you just pick up and play.

No to both really. It's perfect for music fans (as opposed to musicians) who aren't hardcore gamers. And there are so many levels so you can start at easy and progress. It's a beautifully made game - couldn't recommend it more. You could get a bargain too - I saw it in the HMV sale at £50 less than I'd paid!

From what I saw of it, coloured squares float down the screen and you press buttons when they reach the bottom. Pretty simple gameplay. There is no musical skill required and it certainly won't teach you to play guitar/drums/whatever.

Not from what I saw when I played it a couple of times. They've turned a basic internet flash game into an expensive console game. Just hit the squares when they light up.

its easy, we have the drums and guitar for the wii and we're bought for my 6 year old who is now 7 and he could get arond 60-70% so its not hard and need no knowledge of instruments what so ever. just need to learn where the colours are and then hit them at the right time thats all.
