DS Game Help please!!

Hi all

Please help....I am at the first Boss section of the DS game James Cameron's Avatar and I am well and truly stuck. I manage to throw mines at the yellow robot thingy and weaken it and then he destroys the mine dispenser thingys but then I don't know where to go from there. I just seem to keep running around dodging bullets!! Help...I really like the game and want to continue but have tried this level over and over but not getting anywhere! Ta muchly!!
