wii sports won't load

When I put wii sports disc in the wii recognises it. I press start, the wii then goes back to the wii menu.

This happens everytime!!!!! Help please! The disc has only worked once...
prev is there an x box 360 game called 1 vs 100. my neice as asked for it?

try buffing the disc on your sleeve.

tried buffing the disc, other discs work ok. Had probs with wii sports...sometimes it works but generally doesn't.
