Can you play live with the original xbox 360 and the new xbox 360 together, like if i had the original xbox 360 and my friend had the new one could i still play online with him?

Yes. Its essentially the same piece of kit in a different shape.

Of course you can. It is the XBox Live account that is important, not the console.

As Mattk said, the new Xbox360 is not a new Xbox at all, it's the same as an old Xbox just in a different case.

(Before anyone says it, I know it's a different chip manufacturing process used in the new one, but that really makes no difference here)

yes you can. the new xbox 360 is still an xbox 360. it doesnt matter if it is a new model. the original xbox 360 has different versions itself, jasper, xenon and so on and you can play with all those. as long as its an xbox 360 you can play together
