Just bought a PS3 320 with new Move thingy. What else do I need to buy to make a proper set for two kids.
Just bought a PS3 320 with new Move thingy pack. Apart from games, what else do I need to buy to get it running as a full set for my two boys for Christmas?
They had a good price on the package deal in Sainsburys, so I bought it and it is currently hidden in my boot and it is chucking it down, so don't want to bring it in to see what it has with it and I am not really too up on what you need for a PS3.
Anyone let me know what the essentials are?

Hi Vibra - thanks, hopefully manage to sneak the box in to the house tonight for a look. Boys are 10 and 9 - do we need any extra controllers do you think? I allow them games up to 12 cert depending on the content - not worried about sex and swearing but not keen on anything violent, but some recomendations would be good, they have a wii already and a fair number of games and they had a PS2 but that hasn't worked for quite some time, so I am sure there is probably a fair sized back catalogue of PS3 games we could look at that wont be too expensive.
on the playstation store, which is built into the system, they can purchase old playstion 2 and 1 games. so if you cant find any new games which you like then give them some money in their online account and get some old games that they can download.
new games wise for some youngsters... little big planet was quite fun. tbh though, most decent games are about a 15 rating. actually fable is quite good. my half brother plays that and really enjoys it.
so far as essentials go, all the bits and bobs should be in the box with the ps3 when you buy it. however i think you may need to buy another controller as more than likely it will only come with one.
you can buy a headset. this allows them to talk to other people online if they are doing multiplayer.
a keyboard is also a useful thing to get. its a little tiny keyboard that clips onto the controller itself. this is handy when they are on the interenet or writing a message. so i would say a keyboard is quite good.
those are the things i would say to get with the ps3. other things they wont really desbrately need.
when you 1st set it up you will need to install it. hate to say that although xbox does take a shorter time. the ps3 will take a while. plus when ever you play a new game it need to install in the hard drive before they can play it.
but i do love my ps3! they will have such fun on it!

Thanks lumination - now thinking that we need to get a new tv to go with it ;o).
The have an old style tv in the playroom and at the moment I have a complicated system of wiring! They have a video linked to it, but that doesn't get used, I just need it to be there so I can connect everything else! I then have a hi fi thingy that has freeview and the dv player (and surround sound - but i haven't connected all the speakers) then they have the wii connected up and also the PS2 which will be going as it isn't working.
So the PS3 will be able to play dvd and blueray so if I get a tv with built in freeview and is also HD then that will be better for using the PS3 and then I just have to connect in the wii.
I am not really that technicaly minded, but I managed to get everything working!
Are there any 15 games that are good but not violent? - I feel more comfortable with fantasy violence than with real humans if that makes sense. So I don't mind them watching Lord of the Rings etc but wouldn't let them watch a violent war film. They love all the japanese anime stuff - not so much into football or racing games. Do you know if the Ratchet and Clank games are any good? Also saw the eyepet for move on a good deal. I believe they cant use the old ps2 games they have, but you say that they can download any that they liked and that would work okay? I presume they are cheaper for download than on disk then.
