Will this Zapper work on an LCD tv?

Thinking of getting a Wii,mainly for the Resident Evil games.I know other guns have problems with LCD tvs-they don't work do they?So will he Wii gun work with my TV?

Resident Evil is available on all formats now.

If you like these sort of games I would suggest you don't get a Wii PS3 or XBox will cater much more to your needs.

Wii is very much family orientated so things like First Person shoot 'em ups and RPG are more available on the other formats.

Sorry to impose but ayabrea; you are the first person outside of my family who I have heard call a remote type thing a zapper; brilliant!

Thanks for that Davethedog,the thing is,there are games in the Resi series that are only available,so that's why I was wondering if the gun on the Wii has the same problem as the PS2.I think you can get a gun that is compatible with LCD for the other consoles but it costs a lot!

Cheers sophie!But I cannot take full credit,Amazon are selling a bundle that says 'zapper bundle' and the word stuck!
The Tv remote is also a zapper thing too!

Possibly the best in the series is Resident Evil 4.

Also, as you've got a gamecube in there too you can get yourself a gamecube controller and Resident Evil 0 (a reboot of Resi 1) which is supposed to be cracking.

I assumed however you might be interesting in the Outbreak games?

I think you should be fine with a LCD TV, I thought it was Plasma which had the big problems with signal etc?

The wii works fine on my plasma, and also definitely works on my mates LCD TV.

So there should be no problem using the gun and an LCD then?
I only ask because the gun that gets used with the ps2 wouldn't work and I was told it was because of the way these things(the guns)work(something to do with light...beyond me it doesn't take much!)

The Wii controller uses a separate sensor bar that you can mount either on top or below the TV, the type of TV dosen`t matter.
