I was told that the kinect might only work on the latest x boxes.I've got an x box thats about 4 years old & i would like to know if this would be compatible. Many Thanks
The Xbox website specifically refers to the product as "Kinect for Xbox 360" and states "Kinect works with every Xbox 360".
So it seems reasonable to assume that if you've got an Xbox 360 (which came onto the market 5 years ago) it will definitely work but if you've got an original Xbox then it won't:

However that link above only shows either one or two people playing. More specifically, the instructions under 'Room to Play' only tell you how to set things up for one or two people.
So, based upon that (and absolutely nothing else!), I'm reasonably confident that the answer to your question is TWO ;-)
Thank you - having a tiff about it with the 10 year old, he says 2 but a game that Father Christmas is bringing says 4 players (maybe it's two at a time). Sorry for crashing your question Congo1_2
It'll work with any Xbox 360 only difference being that it derives its power direct from the Xbox with the new slim models and via a separate plug when connected to older models.
