Fallout 3

Hi. I'm looking for a game similar to the above, ie a mixture of role playing, quest solving and the usual shootemup stuff - rather than a straight FPS.
Can anyone recommend anything?

Fallout New Vegas is very similar and excellent to play.

The difference is that you can gamble in it and the quests are more of the same, and just as good.

Bioshock 2 is also similar but not as good as Fallout. No free roam.

How about Oblivion? - that is a great game too and made by the same creator's as Fallout

Have you tried Dragon Age? More in the mould of Oblivion than Fallout though.

You could also try the two Mass Effect games, both of them are excellent. Mass Effect 3 next year!

+1 for Oblivion; Fallout was dubbed 'Oblivion with guns'

I'm not really a huge fan of rpg style games. Fallout 3 sort of got me into te genre but Oblivion is also a good starting point. Massiv, beautiful, easy learning curve and so, so time consuming.
