can you go on fifa on xbox live?

we brought fifa 08 and just got xbox live. we couldnt get on so emailed ea games. they told us that basically as there are newer games they are concentrating on getting the live right with them. they told us that since 07/08 season they were no longer doing fifa games on xbox live. a couple of posts on here read as though people have been on fifa on live, can anyone advise on this please.

EA annuanly shut down servers for their older games. They are one of a handfull of companies that run their own servers rather than use P2P on Xbox Live like most other companies do so unfortunately they can do this.

The Fifa 08 server was shutdown earlier this year (along with 07 & 09) and so is no longer playable online on Xbox 360 and other consoles.
