rockband game

Just bought rockband 1 on the wii and trying to use band hero instruments but only the mic is working because it has a usb connection.The drums and guitar are wireless and won't allow you to select these.Does anyone know why and how to sort this problem please.Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me nuts!!!!

the drums do plug into the rear of the wii, the wii remote should plug into the guitar.
i have used all these items and this was how it was set up.
