WII Game Problems

Hi All, Last week I purchased a WII game called 'Ben 10 Cosmic Destruction' as a Birthday present for my 7 Year old Son, but it does not seem to work properly. When my Son gets to a certain point in the game, everything goes blank, I can't even turn the Wii console off without disconnecting the power. I took the Game back to the shop and they replaced it with another copy of the same game, but this new game is also crashes at the same point. I thought it might be something to do with the console firmware, so I updated it to the latest version, but still the same things happens. I have rebooted and reset several times, but still to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? It only happens with this one game.

SI there anyway to apply patches to the game? I had a similar problem on 360, but it was reolved with the patch.
