Do you know anything about the Masons? I have an old certificate thing from 1920s (I think) and would like to know more about it - would really, really like to sell it for millions.

Do they have a secret masons-reunited type database.

It would create too much noise to go and look for it now and the kitties are making enough noise as it is.

Night.

The records of the Masons are kept at the Guild Hall library as i recall, I haven't been there since about 1994 but I think it is in the same building,

Does the certificate have the Masons symbol on it?

Yes - as I remember it is shows the guy joining the masons and then him dying. It is framed.

I am going out tomorrow but will have a look at it when I get home.

I might get back to you.

I better get back to my bed - before I strangle one of the cats. What a noise they can create.

Is it an initiation certificate? It won't be worth much financially but may be of interest to the lodge named in it if it still exists.

I think that it is a joining certificate. It says:-

"The most excellent principals and scribes of the ********************* having certified and declared unto us the grand principals office bearers and members of ......"

Does that sound right? It is dated April 1927 and he died in June 1927.
