List of Evacuee's

Does anyone know if some list exist of evacuee's from WW2, I mean the children that were evacuted and where they spent some time whilst the war was on. My mother was evacuted along with a friend and I am trying to see if that person is still alive, she cannot remember her name. Thanks

I don.t think there is such a list.
Your only chance would be to contact the
school your mother attended if it is stil there.
If not then your local council might be able to help

If you know where an evacuee was sent you may find the child in a School Register at the County Record Office.
