I'm trying to help a friend who is trying to find out who previously lived in her house. I have ancestry subscription and thought I could look on census records but not sure if this is possible. Any ideas

If you give the address I can tell you who lived there in the 1911 census...

sorry i haven't replied craft I have been extremely busy with work and haven't been about much lately!
address is 265 christchurch road, newport south wales

Ive had a quick look but there doesnt seem to be a 265 on 1911 census , Only goes up to 120. On 1901 census it doesnt go very high either and then its just house names.
