I don't know anything about my family beyond the ones I've met. As I get older this seems to bother me more.
My father's family came from Ireland and I know virtually nothing about them but I'm hoping someone can shed light on my mother's side.
My Nan was called Annie Chambers (nee Toon) and My Grandfather was Joseph Leonard Chambers. My nan was born on Oct 8th 1912 and my Grandad on 31st Dec 1914, both in Leicester I think.
Nan said her mother's name was Ginny. Grandad had a sister, Lil, and a brother, Arthur.

I can't find Vincent and Jane in 1911, but in 1901 Vincent was an errand boy, living with his widowed mother Annie at 6 Vann Street Leicester. Annie was a charwoman, born 1857 Fenny Drayton, Warwicks. He had a sister, Annie A born 1883 and a brother Charlie born 1892.

1891 Census Vann Street: James Toon was born 1856 Atherstone, Warwicks, and was a hatter. Wife Annie, children Annie and Vincent.
James died Dec 1895 Leicester.

Elizabeth Ann Carter's parents were Thomas Carter born 1823 in Barwell, Leicestershire, and Elizabeth Jervis born 1821 in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire. They married in Hinckley in 1844 and I think they both died in 1901.

Rose, I spent most of my childhood at 74 Farringdon Street, Leicester.
Thank you so much. I know about Arthur. I remember him. I think dotty may have him too.
As for my nan's side, I'm not sure. My nan was Annie and she was born in 1912 a Toon, not Toone. The answers so far don't seem to match as well as grandad's.
