Further to my recent question about a possible will for my ancestor, I've just seen Dotty's response. If he is still willing to help, the guy I'm looking for is Joshua Dobson, nonconformist preacher, died in Ainsworth (also known as Cockey), Lancashire, August 29th 1767. His wife Elizabeth died September 16 1767, she might have left a will too. And if you can find a John Dobson, merchant of Liverpool, died 1791 but no further details available, that would be icing on the cake!
