on the 1841 he is transcribed as Frederick Jezzen by the way, sons thomas 3 and john 1.
there was a thomas jezard married in 1843 at canterbury living margate and on his marriage certificate his father is henry jezard a labourer, in 1841 there is an elizabeth jezard (transcribed Iezard) living in the st john's parish margate aged 65 (b1776) with a son walter, b @ 1821, a henry jezard marries an elizabeth goodberry, not tracked that yet but will keep looking.
If yhis assists His sons and daughters were Matilda b1835, Henry b1836, John b1839. Frederick b1843, Thomas b 1847 and Fanny b1849.

This is a great help Thanks for your assistance any more info gratefully accepted.
matilda, henry and the first thomas must have all died young as matilda and henry are not with the family in 1841 and you've got another thomas there b. 1847. There is an awful lot about the son frederick born 1843 on ancestry including marriage certificates, photos etc.
seeing the eldest son being henry there could be the link to the henry i found on the marriage certificate too
found this from St Nicholas at Wade parish Church: a memorial inside the church:

A monument to Stephen Jessard, late of this parish, who died 3d Sept. 1768, aged 80; also Mary his wife, daughter of Mary and Henry Collard, of Chislett, who died 10th July, 1761, aged 69; also Henry Jessard, grandson of the above, who died Oct. 18th, 1805, aged 53; and Mary Jessard, sister of the above Henry Jessard, who died 1st Feb. 1821, aged 66.

Henry died 1905, and is my grt grt grandfather, Matilda no record of death date, 1st Thomas I didn't know of. Nice research though dotty
timberup at death registration he is entered as Henry Thomas Jezard in 1905, and so the 'first henry' and the thomas 1836 may be the same person!

on the 1851 he's henry thomas too.

matilda jezard married james richard rayment west ham RD Q2 1863 ref 4a23
they lived in croyden up to 1901, matilda was widowed by then and living with her daughter emily darrall. Matilda Rayment nee Jezard died in 1908 aged 73 registered croyden Q4 1908 2a 197
Dotty I really thank you for your efforts, I now just have to try and find Fredericks parents but i'll try for a Birth certificate if poss. Many Thanks if you find out anymore.
problem is there were no birth certificates before 1837, either you can find a father on the marriage entry for him or his siblings if one of them married after 1837 OR you locate a baptism for him or one of his siblings, or even find a parent living with one of the grown children on a census, or a will, it's the only way to confirm the father/mother.
thats a help thanks again
