Haven't been on there for some time and now I notice it's changed it's format. I am searching for a name and it is taking absolutely ages to load ...... have I got the right link Familysearch.org? I want to check for info before the 1840 census so think this is the only site which does it?

Thanks Dotty, thats the one I've just been looking at. What happened to the other brilliant site - I'm just gutted they have changed it. I've tested this site with details already found and there is so much missing. Wonder why they have removed a lot of the info and completely changed the layout for for the better?

*not for the better
I agree Ann, it's definitely not as good as it used to be, or I'm using the filters incorrectly.

Looking at the comments left there are a lot of unhappy genealogists........
hi Ann, been at work all day sorry.
most counties now have their parish registers published, west yorkshire and kent and several others have been added to ancestry. Lancashire's are online, it's a case of doind a search, search for the Parish Clerk Project for each county
BTW, if familysearch.org is slow to load it means you are using it when the americans are awake, lol

Thanks Dotty - been out most of today but will have a look this week at the Parish records. Thanks for your help :)
