Is the gentleman concerned noted on any other trees on ancestry (or genesreunited)? If so you might find that someone else already has a death certificate ..... this has happened lots of times for me, and I am always quite happy to share certificates I have purchased if it helps someone else - generally most people are happy to ..... might not be as long a shot as you think!! If you don't have genesreunited access, post the name and dates on here and I will look to see if he is in any trees there for you, if you wish.
