Hi March Hare, With regards to the info we had before, I have written to J R Seaman but so far I've not had a reply. I couldn't get a phone number so I had to resort to the "snail mail". The other thing I'm having trouble with is tracing my Fathers other Brother Thomas Seaman. He was b 15/03/1895 in Dublin North. I can trace him on the two census available in Ireland 1901 & 1911(he was shown as 16ys) but beyond that there is no trace on marriage, death, military service or even emigration. Any good ideas? All the best Ian
I did find the following ....... can't be sure it's him of course - BUT considering he is at Birkenhead and this (plus Liverpool itself) were the main receiving ports from incomers from Ireland, I would suspect this might be him ............... only the 1921 census can tell us for sure - when it's finally released! What do you think?
