Death Certificate Copy Uk
9 Answers
I am currently a novice at family history research. Please can anyone tell me how on earth one obtains a copy of a much needed death cert, if I don't even know what county, where, or even the date?! I have the person's name, birth, (1890)parents names, marriage, and children, etc. Death could have occurred in one of 2 counties, U.K. many thanks for any advice. (these family trees are a headache!)

You could join your local Family History Society, most are very helpful to beginners and some run courses. It does not have to be the one for the area in which your ancestor lived. One that is easily accesible would be better. Also most areas have a Local History Library where the staff are most helpful. Good Luck!
