have been in touch with a former answerbank user for quite a while and have given a little assistance in her search on the name "siney" a name i had never heard of. she has found out very little about her grandfather christopher siney, other than where/when he was born and that he served in ww1. he married in 1921 and had 2 sons, one of which is her father, who remembered very little about his father as he left when he was a young child. she has found out that her grandads mum had remarried (twice she thinks) names of reid and campbell and she was called annie and died in 1920 or 1921 relatively young approx 40yrs. she is now interested to know if there were any children from either of these marriages so has asked me to help but i dont know where to start, annie died in scotland so maybe someone can help me find out anything and this would be much appreciated

chirstopher Siney was in the Seaforth Highlanders, but previously in the Connaught Rangers. Thye probably knew that though.

I've found a Christopher Siney born Ireland 1898 and he's on the 1901 Scottish Census in Lanarkshire aged 2. No clue really as to why he is there as he is a boarder with noone else of that surname.
