Hi, Ive havnt been on here for ages, hope everyone is well
My question is even though Im paid up to Worldwide membership with Ancestry, I can never get scottish info, past or present. Is it a separate site ?
I`m researching the family of Elizabeth AFH Mudie, born about 1950-55 in Fife
Any help appreciated

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Yes, it is called Scotland's People. You can get copies of bmd's from there. However, given the person you are researching was born in 1955, you wont be able to view her certificate online and will need to Order a copy.
They also have Census records, some Wills and some parish records.
SP operates a credit system, you can buy them in rising groups of £6. I think it costs one credit to view each page of a search and 5 credits to actually look at an entry.
It's a very good site.

You can get census records back to 1841 on Ancestry. Have you been on the Scotland 's People website you can get birth, marriage and death records from 1856 also census from 1841-1910 plus Old Parish Register entries. Definitely worth looking at I've got files of records that I've printed off from there. It's very addictive!!!
