Parents' Wedding Certificate

Is there somwhere online where I can view my parents' wedding certificate?

I don't want to sign up for free trials of anything, neither do I need a copy. I just want to view it, to check the date.

Unfortunately not, Tilly. The only way you can see it is by ordering a copy. You *might* be able to view the church registration on ancestry, but they dont have many recent ones on there.

I don't think it is costly to get a copy if you really need the info Tilly, these things can be ordered on line..I had to get copies of mum's birth certs for her and it was quite a simple procedure

even if you did you may not find it through them, the records office will have it for sure

You could be cheeky and phone Staffs record office and ask them.

If you know where in Stoke (I assume there are several churches, or it may have been reg office) they might be kind and look it up for you.

Have a browse on Staffs RO website. Sometimes you CAN view docs online.

I had mums cert in a week..you can pay more for express...in mum's case I was surprised how easy it was because she had no father her mother was a bit of a player and gave her up after birth

Apparently, the Stoke on Trent Registery is an entirely separate entity from the Staffordshire one.

My library here in Worthing lets you use Ancestry.com for nothing if you are a member.
Might be worth checking out your library?
