Release of the 1911 Census
I was led to believe that the 1911 Census would be put online in a shortened form in 2009, but looking at the National Archive site, they are still aiming for 2012.
I know that someone took the NA to court saying that they should have access to it under the Freedom of Information Act and he won! It was apparently put online briefly and then withdrawn - presumable as the NA have appealed.
Anyone know what is happening?
Thanks

You can for 45 buy some info now but there have been complaints about whether it is worth the cost.
The same website says that even though the 1911 census is being released early, the 1921 census is free from the ruling and will be governed by the 100 year rule.
The 1931 census was completely destroyed by a fire so no info is available for that at all
