there seems to be no grant of probate at all, would this be the actual Will that has been proven?

No, dot, this is a Will that hasn't been entered into probate as yet. Notice the intials at selected paragraphs, indicating changes to a previous instrument and the intials verify the changes made at a given date (not indicated).

Here in the U.S., probate is an extended legal matter,open to challenge at every turn and can, with a Will containing a lot of wealth, take years to be certified as Probated and the holdings dispersed...
