Death in South Africa

I have a Scottish relative who died in a road accident in South Africa in the early 1980's, I have a complete date of death. What would be the best way to obtain a death certificate for him? thanks for any answers given.

is where the death will have been registered in South Africa and a copy will have been sent to New register House in Scotland by the British Consulate
