How do I find a burial place?

I am looking for the Burial place of Kimberley Marie Carlile, she was born in November 1981 and her date of death is 8th June 1986, she was born in Birkenhead lived for a while in the Wirral but her place of passing is Greenwich, I have contacted Greenwich Council and they cannot find her. Where would I get the information from?

Are you sure she was buried or could she have been cremated? Would there have been a death announcement giving the funeral director in the local paper? For a young child it is possible she was buried with a grandparent and so you could check where her paternal or maternal parents or grandparents were buried.
