I am going to have a rest from my Fathers side of the family, and take a look at my Mothers side. I think it will prove interesting tho maybe somewhat harder to research..

I understand Grannys family were part of a traveling fair, but has settled down by the time I was a small child.

I do remember her "roundabout" in pieces at the rear of her home.

I know bits my late Mother told me but never remember meeting with any relatives other than my Mothers step brothers and sisters.

Does anyone know of a web site that might include people that didn't "stay in one place"?

Thanks DD

Do you mean a Romany site or just travelling people. Some of my lot were on a travellers' site.

I just put the surname, and the area they were from (Dorset) in google and it took me to a site with a lot of info. Luckily my aunt, from this family, is still alive, and she gave my cousin a lot of detail to email to me as well.

What area did they come from......my lot were funny in that they travelled all over Dorset, Devon, and Hampshire, but always seemed to return to the same place to get married and give birth....
