Could Dotty or anyone who has a premium ancestry membership have a look for Lewis for me please.
He was born 1890 in York but is not on the 1911 census. There are loads of entries regarding war record, border crossings, and ships' records which I cannot access.
I don't know if he married in Canada or the US so any info you could dig up on him would be greatly appreciated.

This is great dot........any ideas re the war record and children?
I've found his record, 7th april 1917,his mother was next of kin Mary Elizabeth Plows of 8 Granville terrace York, he was born in York 8 July 1890 but was living in Toronto Canada, reg no 528088, he was living at 1071 dufferin street toronto , he wasn't married, his trade on enlistment was hospital orderley.
C.A.M,C. training depot is on the top of the page as a stamp, the heading is Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force
He married in Manateee, the4 record is there in the listings but I haven't got workdwide only premium which isn't enough to view it, his death is there and has his social security number but again it;s worldwide not premium access. he's not showing on any census, the 1920 nor 1930. which is odd, unless he was back in Canada and only moved to Florida after 1930.

yes that's true, but they all have transcribed records that can be misleading or inaccurate, so using as many as possible is a good idea
