My great aunt (92) has a great one that I had never heard of ..... not letting any waste water down the drains on Good Friday as this would "wash away the Lord!" ...... heard this one? It might be confined to the Black Country perhaps .........my personal one is I hate crossing on the stairs

I'm very superstitious when it comes to football matches - but all the superstitions are of my own making, like wearing the same clothes, going through the same turnstile, up the same flight of stairs etc.

I picked up a couple from an ex-boyfriend - I think they are Indian in origin. I never hand sharp objects directly to my husband, I always place them down next to him. And I always make sure that we stay on the same side of lamposts when we walk along. Crazy I know but it's a habit that has stuck.
