How did a stone or wood construction that you sometimes see in old town squares (Beaminster for one) derive it's name?

According to http://parsons.best.vwh.net/bemtwnsq.html it was nicknamed "Julia" after the sculptor's sister.

The parsons of the page cited was head boy of Beaminster School in 1968 by the way.

But why did the name stick for 100years or thereabouts and not become - The Bus stop?

I am just guessing and am probably completely wrong .... but...

The building designs are based on a Tetrapylon.  There is a Tetrapylon in Jarash (85 miles from Jerusalem) was dedicated in honor of Julia Domna, the Syrian wife of the Emperor Septimus Severus (193-211 CE).

If you look at the deisgns of the tetrapylon you will see the similarity, as for the name, it may just be a romantic notion.
