Those ashtrays with a lid that spun round when you pushed a knob-thing down - my aunties even had these on a stand like a side tale.
I first enjoyed a chicken in the basket at a pub after arriving in England in 1970. Enjoyed it then & still enjoy this meal now from time to time. I invested in six baskets.

I didn't know what a grapefruit was til they let me out of the pit as I got too tall for dragging trucks. You were lucky, we had it rough.
Keyty, I could not believe my eyes when I saw Vesta curries in a box for sale last week in B&Ms!
