Info about what, may I ask?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Info-Disc-version-5-0-Professional/dp/B00004WHUD

it's the type of database cold callers pay for
Question Author
dotty it holds either edited electrol role information,or professional version hold all electrol register information and i am trying to trace someone without a tracing agent, and yes cold callers do use it, but that certainly not my intention.
we've tracked people down on here just by using facebook, have you tried that?
Question Author
Zacs, its exactly what i said to dotty, unfortunatley it is very difficult to get a hold off, i am not looking for latest upto date info, i need from 2005 information.
Ok. Good luck. It was the fact that it was in History which was a bit puzzling.
Question Author
dotty, yes tried facebook but nothing listed, there are several people listed with same name but no pictures to confirm, i have rough idea of address that they used to stay at, thats why i need historical information, as well as current, need to start somewhere. Thanks Dotty :-)
UK Info Disks weren't issued much after around 2000. (The versions I've got are from the late 1990s). The firm which used to publish them now provides online services, as 192.com
There is also an opt out option on the electoral list so whatever access you get to the most recent register eg. via 192.com, you are not guaranteed to find what you are looking for.

Thanks for that info, Buenchico. I have been trying to get a more modern version of the UK Info isk and wondered why I couldn't find it. 192.com is so expensive compared with the one-off cost of the disk.
Infodisc is no longer available. Try:

www.thephonebook.bt.com

It's free.
Thanks, Skylax. Just used that with great success.
