I'm Looking at the myths surrounding Glamis Castle, the birth place of the Queen Mother. Particularly the one concerning the 'Mad Earl' .

Does any one know of any sites that might offer some insight into the stories about Glamis.

Thanks for your time.

Hi eupraxia,

Although this site:~

is not that comprehensive,it does at least give you SOME more information on what you requested!

There is some info here, plus additional links underlined.

Glamis was a name mentioned in Macbeth as well - I forget if it was Thane of Glamis or Glamis castle or both. But it was definitely in that "Scottish Play". (Thane is a kind of Lord or Earl)

Thanks for your help. It's been an intersting read.

The Queen Mum was not born in Glamis (pronounced Glarms) it seems that her father did not register her straight away and her place of birth is either London or Hertfordshire
