That's about the USA - so it'll at least relieve the boredom while we look for a UK website!

I believe that in Gloucester it's legal to stand on the City Walls and shoot with a bow and arrow any Welshmen you see after midnight.  I keep trying to get my mate Gareth to step outside the walls at night! :-p

I thought that was Chester.......

Maybe they realised it was such a good law that they brought it to the southern borders too!  Or Chester pinched the idea from Glaaaaaaaaaaaster probably. After all, we are bloomin close to the border down in my home town.

How freaky - my Welsh friend who lives in Gloucester just signed in on msn.  He must have had burning ears!! :-)

I've heard that about Gloucester, Hereford, Shrewsbury, Chester and the Long Mynd (a hill in Shropshire).  I don't suppose anyone can put me out of my misery with a reference?

King John's Magna Carta, first written in 1215 is still in force today! Its reissue in 1225 made it perpetual, the first of England's statutes and a cornerstone of the British constitution. However, the original laws about excommunication for borrowing money from Jews were amended.
yes me lads and lasses here in the colonies we have a ridiculous law which states If you do not wear a seatbelt you will be fined,. a ridiculous sum
Black taxi's, by law, should carry a bail (sp?) of hay in their boot. Harks back to when hackney carriages (which black cabs are still known as) were pulled by horses!

By law it is illegal to sell a woman a pint of beer; they are only to be served half-pints.
