Henry Osborn Of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Tools.
I have a couple of chisels, which are marked with the name Hy Osborn. My researches thus far have indicated that this was not a manufacturer, but a retailer, whose shop was on Princes Street in an area which was demolished to make way for the extension to Eldon Square. Both of my chisels are also stamped with a trademark. Does anyone out there in ABland have a clear representation of what the trademark is supposed to depict. Both of mine are too worn to be clear.

There are references to Osborn on this thread. It appears his business was as a supplier and not a manufacturer. I came across a photo of his store on Princess St taken in 1972 on another site. http:// swingle ydev.co m/archi ve/get. php?mes sage_id =140289 &su bmit_th read=1
