Thank you for sharing that Tony. What a remarkable account, and how noble of him to stay in the trench. It is hard to imagine what it must of have been like.

Yes marval, he did the right thing imo.
He certainly did.
I believe that a lot of officers also felt that they should stay with their men. I read that, statistically, a greater percentage of public school officers were killed than the O.Rs. Good for him anyway.
