I managed to work out the morphine debate. It wasn't mg or mcg that I was referring to when I said 100.
Apparently the Oxycodone I'm on now (50mg (25mg in the morning and 25mg at night)) is twice as potent as subcutaneous morphine so 50 becomes 100. I was actually taking 0.4-0.5mg (or 4-5 CC's) or morphine daily which equates to roughly 50mg of Oxycodone.
The only problem is that on top of the Oxycodone I've had to have morphine PRN (Latin: pro re nata) - or Prescribe When Needed, 3 times (another 3 CC's). So I've got to see if the lovely Louise from the pain team will be willing to up my dose of oxycodone from 50mg daily to 80mg daily.
Just thought I'd keep you all informed about my pain as I know you all care and keep asking about me, and the fact I am getting relief from it, just not 100% in the correct way, but we're getting there :)
