In London this year, we visited the bomber command memorial in hyde Park, I had the privilege of meeting an old gent who had been bomber crew 43 to 45. He stood proud 96 years old temembering old comrades with tears and respect, medals lining his chest. I proudly shook his hand and listened to his tales for far longer than I should have. My wee tours didn't stand comparison. I'm proud to have met him.
I know many of our current aircrews, I know the pride they carry through the the history of the squadrons, the aircraft and the fliers... It's a tough job the men that do the job are proud to do so
