An interesting article, Elina. Isn't history fascinating. If it wasn't for history, there would be no basis for the present, or even the future. As someone once said: "The present is the sum total of the past."

I love history stuey, especially local! I tend to find the most interesting things out by accident while looking for something else!
I wonder if Adam, or perhaps Eve, ever attempted to trace their genealogical records? Anyway, I'm off to bed now...G'night.

Night stuey! You're off to bed ... & I shall be going to work soon. Enjoy your sleep!
My current passport pic looks like a wanted poster. My passport is due for renewal this year and I've had 6 attempts so far in getting a decent pic. I'll have one more attempt and then I 'll give up. It's £5 a pop in those DIY booth places and let's face it, the only person who will see your pic is a very bored, disinterested immigration/passport control person. He/she'll give it a cursory glance and whoosh, you're on your way. Just think, I get it all to do again another 10 years. I need to be like Dorian Grey and have a painting in the attic.
a selfie will do, janbee, as long as you haven't got hair in your eyes etc. At least you'll see what you're getting
