British occupation of Burma, 1900-1950

I'm trying to find out about occasions in the first half of 20th Century, that Britain would have had reason to have troops in Burma, i.e. wars/conflicts involving Burma, directly or indirectly. Any suggestions appreciated.

Burma was a province of India within the British Empire until 1937, when it became a British crown colony with a certain amount of independence. There would have been British troops there throughout this time. The 70th Burma Rifles (later the 20th Burma Rifles) were units of the British Army until 1937. Japan invaded Burma in December 1941 and became one of the battlegrounds of the war in Asia. British troops involved thrioughout. [My dad served with the 14th Army under General/ Field Marshal Slim, in India and Burma, during the War.] Burma became independent in 1948; no military orconstitutional links with Britain and/ or the Commonwealth since then.
